In 1989 Pastor Dan and his family were sent out from Calvary Chapel Grass Valley California, to plant a church in Washington State. Dan and his family moved to Oak Harbor where Dan has been the senior pastor since its formation.

Jesus said, “You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32 It is our desire and aim to be set free from the bondage of sin and any hindrances in our lives that keep us from the abundant life that Jesus has given us.

Calvary Chapel Oak Harbor is a Bible believing and teaching ministry. Our desire and purpose is to glorify God as a local church in our community and the Kingdom of God universally.

We seek to worship God in Spirit and in truth; therefore we give great place to the Word of God with honor and respect.

We believe the Bible is the inherent Word of God… All the Scriptures are God-breathed; therefore we seek to learn and receive all that is written in them and to apply God’s truth to our lives.

We believe that worship of God should be passionate and inspirational so we desire that our services be a place for believers to gather together to express their worship sincerely through music and singing.

We hold to the timeless truth that gathering together as a fellowship of believers and regular church attendance is essential for Christian growth and that it is a spiritual discipline that should be cultivated, especially in these “last days” in which we live.

We believe that loving God and loving one another go hand-in-hand, therefore we cannot separate the two. Loving one another in the body of Christ and seeking to share the “good news” of Jesus Christ to those in the world, reflects our love for God, as this is the heart of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pastor Dan Renner

We teach children how they can know who God is, how much He loves them, and what His instructions are for living a life that is pleasing to Him. We seek to accomplish this through Bible study, praise and worship, memory verses, games and crafts. In addition we have a puppet team who ministers to our children.

All of the teachers & assistants are required to: profess faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ,  fill out an application and have a national criminal background check before they are allowed to minister with our children.

“For He established a testimony in Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel, Which He commanded our fathers, That they should make them known to their children; That the generation to come might know them, The children who would be born, That they may arise and declare them to their children, That they may set their hope in God, And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments”.

8:30 a.m. – Sunday morning’s Children’s Church for 3 years old to 5th grade.
Sorry there is no nursery available at the 8:30 a.m. service.

10:30 a.m. Sunday mornings Children’s Church for toddlers thru 5th grade.
Nursery is available at the 10:30 service.

7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening’s Calvary Kids Club for 3 year olds thru 5th grade.
Nursery for infants to age 2.

The Women’s Ministry seeks to teach, encourage and provide opportunities for women to fellowship with one another. As with all ministries at Calvary Chapel Oak Harbor, we desire to come together to serve, grow and inspire each other in our relationship with the Lord.

It is our aim to draw closer to the Lord by participating in studying the Bible, praying and gathering for fellowship. We desire to grow in our knowledge of the Lord and with one another. We seek to reach out to those outside the Body of Christ by being vessels that God can use to draw others to the Kingdom of God. As we study the Word of God together, we experience the transforming work of the Holy Spirit… “For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” -Philippians 2:13
